We recently added another 32 carp, mirror and commons between 6lb and 16lb to our existing stock of around 34 doubles. We netted the lake back in the winter and that is what we caught, but of course there will be more as we would not have netted them all. Beautiful markings and colours.

Last November we netted the lake to check on our stock. We registered 34 carp in double figures (largest caught is 29lb) and they are in good condition with roach up to 2lb and good size rudd too. Many of the silver fish were removed leaving only the larger specimens. Obviously we did not catch the whole lake so there will still be many that got away. Delighted to see that our carp have bred too. Due to the lake being mature (36 years) and our large carp being very wary of fishermen and it takes skill and patience, however, we will be adding some smaller carp 7-8lb in the Spring to spice things up a bit.
